It is our mission to provide every employee with a safe and healthy workplace free from hazards and eliminate the risk of injury to any employee.
The establishment and maintenance of a safe workplace is a responsibility that must be shared between the employer and all employees. To achieve this, every reasonable effort will be made to ensure that we all cooperate in meeting our goal of accident prevention and health preservation.
The success of our Company will depend upon not only construction and project completion, but also on how safely each job is performed. There is no job so important that we cannot take the time to work safely.
Executive management support and monitoring are key components of Posen's safety program. In addition, annual training meetings along with quarterly safety training meetings are required for supervision as well as weekly "tool box talks" for all field employees. Training focuses on safety standards, project specific needs and issues as well as industry trends. Additional training is provided for task specific needs such as confined space, First Aid and CPR, aerial lift, and other training needs that may arise.
Posen's Director of Human Resources and Safety is responsible for the development and implementation of our safety program. Posen employs safety management professionals for both our Michigan and Florida operations to ensure compliance of with our safety program by all employees and all subcontractors. The safety team stays current with safety regulatory requirements, conducts safety training, project site inspections, accident and injury investigations and takes corrective measures to prevent a reoccurrence.
Superintendents and Foremen are the front line to insure the projects are performed safely. They make sure that new employees are orientated to the project, the proper safety equipment is in use, accidents and injuries are reported timely and our safety program is adhered to on a daily basis.
As mentioned earlier, a safe workplace is the responsibility that must be shared between the employer and employees. At the time of hire, all employees are provided with the Posen Construction, Inc. Employee Safety Handbook identifying Posen's safety program and are provided with personal protective equipment for use on the job.
